Hybrid heat pumps
The Intergas Xtend is a combination of an air/water heat pump, an indoor unit and a high-efficiency boiler. The outdoor unit extracts as much heat (energy) as possible from the outside air and converts it into usable heat. This heat is channelled into the home using refrigerant and used for the central heating system. The boiler provides hot tap water. If the heat pump's output is insufficient to heat your home, such as during very cold outside temperatures, the boiler takes over. This ensures you always have hot water and a comfortable indoor climate.
